- Why does McPhee refer to communication as “flows”? What are the advantages and disadvantages of this metaphor?
- One principle of CCO is that different flows happen in different places. Yet, another principle is that the same message can address multiple flows. At first glance, this looks like a contradiction. Explain how both of these things can be true.
- Some scholars see CCO as a highly practical theory. Consider graduating college seniors. Identify three guidelines, grounded in CCO, that would help the graduates as they enter the workforce.
